As science proceeds to evolve, humanity is continuing to discover other worlds in outer space. But for the layman, it’s hard to believe that there exist other worlds out there. To bring reality closer to people, we have seen several depictions of space in our day to day life. In this article, we have shared three ways in which the world is preparing us for the realities of outer space.
Space Video Games
You will agree with me that video games have become an integral part of the global culture. While most of the games we have seen are sports-related, and action games based on battles on our planet, several are about outer space. Examples of space games include Outer Worlds, Rebel Galaxy, Elite Dangerous, and Space Invaders, just to mention a few.
Space-Themed Casino Games
Casino games have also been influenced by space and the world beyond. There are so many space-themed casino games, the majority being the slot games. A good example is the over here, whose gameplay and arcade-style light effects are likened to the intense galaxy activity that leads to the formation of stars.
Space has also been featured in Hollywood movies as well as documentaries. We’ve seen blockbusters such as The Martian, Interstellar, First Man, and Star Trek, which are set in space. While these movies are science-fiction, they enhance our understanding of space and remind us that, indeed, space is real.
The above are just some of the depictions of space and the outer worlds in real life. And it’s not only in video games, casinos, and movies; we also have music about space. Some of the biggest tracks include Space Oddity by David Bowie, Walking On The Moon by The Police, and A Spaceman Came Travelling by Chris de Burgh.
